Michelle - Senior Portraits
Well it was extra special doing this portrait session! I had a chance to watch this young lady grow up! She was a helper in my Brownine troop eons ago. As a girl scout she achieved Girl Scouts highest honor, the coveted "Gold Award". This award is the girls version of the Eagle Scout Award. Last year Michelle had some obstacles to overcome but she made it through. I am very proud of her. Congratulations on your graduation! Thank you, to you and Grandma Pat, for choosing me for your senior portraits!

Flowers for Algernon
Shelby High School's Production Art Class presented "Flowers for Algernon" over the weekend. I went on friday evening and enjoyed it so much I had to go back and take pictures. For a small rural school we have some great talent. I have to give credit to our director Kristi Stariha who works very hard to teach her passion of acting to her students at Shelby High School. This year I have the honor to photograph the 2009 Mrs. Asparagus Queen Candidates for our county. It is truly a pleasure to spend some time with each of these ladies. It sounds funny but asparagus is serious business when you live in Oceana County. So serious that we have a national festival celebrating the harvest of it. Kate Miller & Eric Hedrick - Wedding
